Mark Hanson
Chairman of the Board
Mark is a Managing Director of Genstar Capital, responsible for expanding Genstar’s Business Services practice by leveraging his more than twenty years in the software industry. Prior to joining Genstar, Mark most recently served as Senior Vice President for Corporate Development and Chief of Staff for Siebel Systems, Inc., where he worked closely with the executive team to help Siebel return to growth in 2005.

He was responsible for building the Mergers & Acquisitions function at Siebel and during his tenure the company made seventeen acquisitions. Prior to that, Mark was President and Chief Operating Officer of Visigenic Software, Inc., where he helped grow the company from a startup entity with no revenues to its IPO and sale to Borland Software Corporation. Mark has also worked as a senior executive with other leading software companies, including Sybase, Inc., Macromedia, Inc., and Informix Software, Inc. Mark is a graduate of Santa Clara University and holds an MBA from Golden Gate University.

Mark joined TravelClick’s Board of Directors in 2008.

Larry Kutscher, CEO

Larry Kutscher
Larry is Chief Executive Officer of TravelClick where he drives the company's overall strategic direction and solution vision to its 30,000 customers worldwide. He has 20 years of experience in building industry-defining online businesses and taking them to new heights of performance. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Register.com, where he evolved the domain name company into a small business services organization with a focus on being the “web department” for small businesses. 

 

Before joining Register.com, Larry served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Small Business Group at Dun & Bradstreet, where he helped the company expand its digital offerings, including the acquisition and development of Hoovers, a leading provider of sales and marketing intelligence. His background also includes a role as Managing Director with Goldman Sachs Wealth Management and twelve years at American Express.  

Larry received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a political science degree from Brown University.

Larry joined TravelClick's Board of Directors in 2010.

Jean-Pierre Conte
J-P is the Chairman and Managing Director of Genstar Capital, responsible for acquisitions, divestitures, and oversight of portfolio companies in a number of industries including life sciences and industrial technologies. Prior to leading Genstar Capital, J-P was a principal at The NTC Group, Inc., a private-equity firm focused on industrial technology companies.

He began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in 1985. J-P earned an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business and a BA from Colgate University.

J-P joined TravelClick’s Board of Directors in 2008.

Robert E. Dowdell
Bob is the former Chief Executive Officer of Marshall & Swift / Boeckh (MS/B). MS/B is a leading supplier of local building cost information, residential and commercial property valuation technology and services for the property and casualty insurance sector in the U.S. and Canada.

During his tenure, he successfully transformed MS/B from paper-based publishing companies to “knowledge companies” that provide a wide variety of services to the property insurance, appraisal, and assessment industries. Bob is also one of the founders of Career Education Corporation (NASDAQ: CECO), a $2 billion postsecondary educational institute, with 80+ campuses in the US, Canada, Europe, and Dubai, and the second largest degree granting online institution (AIU Online). Prior to this, he was President of National Education Centers, which at the time was the largest chain of postsecondary educational institutions in the US. Bob also served as Corporate Controller and Treasurer at National Education Corp (NYSE) and Corporate Controller of Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp (AMEX) and worked at Price Waterhouse in Chicago as an Audit manager. He is a Director of 21st Services. Bob earned an MBA and a BBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Bob joined TravelClick’s Board of Directors in 2008.

Mike Krupka
Mike is a Managing Director at Bain Capital Ventures. He has also held the position of Managing Director with the Private Equity Group of Bain Capital, during which time he focused his investing activities on technology and technology-driven companies, including software, hardware, database, and telecommunication services. Earlier at Bain Capital, Mike was part of Information Partners, a fund focused on early-stage information technology investing.

He has served in several operating roles including that of President of a $110 M revenue software company and CFO of a $70 M revenue services company. Before Bain Capital, Mike was a consultant with Bain & Company. Mike holds a BS in Chemistry from Dartmouth College.

Mike has served on TravelClick’s Board of Directors since 1999.

Tony Salewski
Tony is a Vice President with Genstar Capital, helping to identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition and investment opportunities. Prior to joining Genstar, Tony was a Principal at Alpine Investors, a private equity firm in San Francisco that invests in lower middle-market companies.

He also served as the Chief of Staff for Operations at Barclays Global Investors (BGI), the world’s largest institutional investment manager, where he reported to the Chief Operating Officer and executed strategic initiatives for the Executive Committee. Prior to BGI, Tony was an Associate at Hellman & Friedman LLC, a private equity investment firm in San Francisco. He began his career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in New York. Tony received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and graduated with honors from Harvard College.

Tony joined TravelClick’s Board of Directors in 2008.

R. David Schmaier
David worked most recently as the Executive Vice President at Siebel Systems, Inc, the world's leading provider of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, which was acquired by Oracle Corporation in February 2006. During his twelve-year tenure at the company, David was a member of the Siebel executive management team and the Founder's Circle of first employees, as well as led the Products, Marketing and Alliances organizations.

Prior to Siebel Systems, David worked in a variety of sales and marketing roles at Oracle Corporation and as a strategy consultant at Braxton Associates (now part of Deloitte Consulting).

David earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

David joined TravelClick’s Board of Directors in 2008.
